Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune was established in February 1989 and is renowned for its academic excellence and infrastructural facilities. It was initially affiliated to the University of Pune till it became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in April 1996.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, also known as BVMC Pune, is a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) Pune. It is accredited with an “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The College has also been ranked 40 for Medical by India Today in 2020. Currently, the College offers UG, PG, super speciality, certificate and PG diploma programmes in the Medical stream across its 24 departments. It also has an attached hospital approved as the Centre of Excellence for Mother and Child Health & Eclampsia.
