ADMISSION PROCEDURE
As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court Order, the admissions into MBBS course for the year 2021-2022 are made through Common Counseling conducted by DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The central library has 22,000 of books 732 ebooks, subscribing for 81 International and 81 National journals and has 3133 back volumes. We are also subscribing for 1551 electronic journals. We follow the open access system. To make it user-friendly the library books are classified according to the library of Congress and National Library of Medicine classification and arranged them in the shelves by subject.

At present the hospital has 1,200 teaching beds with states of art operation theaters. Besides there are intensive care beds with 24 hours hi-tech trauma care facility, serving a wide cross section of community, belonging to every economic segment of society.
The college has emerged as a pioneer in the state of Tamil Nadu by providing medical and health care programmes through internationalization, innovation in academic and research studies. The college offers under Graduates course in medicine (M.B.B.S.), postgraduate degree (M.D/M.S) in 19 medical disciplines and super specialty courses (M.Ch/DM) in 4 disciplines. The sanctioned annual intake to the M.B.B.S. programme is 250 students
