After completing your MBBS degree, one needs to clear the NEET PG entrance examination or PG entrance exams of other centralised colleges such as AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG etc. to apply for admission to PG courses at the medical institutes. Since there are numerous postgraduate medical courses one can choose to pursue after MBBS and each course may have specific eligibility criterias, it is important to have a thorough knowledge about your chosen PG course to be able to prepare for the same well in time.

 

ELIGIBILITY :
  • The applicant must complete the MBBS degree including 1 year of internship
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in MBBS examinations. 
  • Qualify the NEET PG entrance examination or the PG entrance examination of the specific medical institution.
  • Candidates must possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.

To become a surgeon in a particular area of specialisation, one must pursue MS (Master of Surgery) in that specific field. One can pursue MS in the following fields:
