Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (KIMS) is supported by a 550-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital equipped with modern infrastructure, advanced medical technology, and a team of highly qualified consultants, experienced nursing professionals, and dedicated paramedical staff. The hospital is committed to delivering quality healthcare services, offering free treatment for common illnesses, selected surgical procedures, and basic diagnostic investigations, while specialized treatments and advanced investigations are provided at subsidized rates.

The three-storied hospital complex features separate outpatient departments for medical and surgical specialties on the ground floor, state-of-the-art operation theatres on the first floor, and intensive care units, special wards, dialysis facilities, and an infertility centre on the upper floor. A dedicated outpatient block houses departments such as Medicine, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and Ophthalmology, while other specialty clinics operate from the main hospital building.

Spread across a built-up area of approximately 2.6 lakh square feet, the hospital includes separate outpatient and inpatient blocks and a 40-bed intensive care unit comprising Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Respiratory ICU, and Pediatric ICU facilities. A specialized Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is located adjacent to the labour room, which also includes emergency obstetric care beds. Outpatient services are available from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with evening clinics operating from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Emergency and critical care services are available round-the-clock.

The hospital offers a wide range of specialty clinics, including Diabetology, Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Urology, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Asthma Care, Retina Services, Voice Clinic, Otology, and Rhinology. On average, the hospital serves 850–900 outpatients daily and admits around 70–80 patients each day.

A major strength of the institution is its advanced surgical infrastructure, featuring 11 fully equipped operation theatres, a modern Cath Lab, and a Fertility Centre. The hospital performs approximately 24–25 major surgeries and 30–34 minor surgeries every day. Comprehensive diagnostic support is provided through advanced Radiology and Imaging services, including CT and MRI facilities, along with a Central Clinical Laboratory that caters to a wide range of diagnostic requirements.

The hospital has achieved significant quality benchmarks, receiving NABH Pre-Entry Level Accreditation in January 2019 and NABL Accreditation for its Central Laboratory in November 2019.
