USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination)

The USMLE (the United States Medical Licensing Examination) is conducted in three parts clearing which can get you the golden ticket to attain the opportunity to study abroad in the domain of Medicine. It is collectively sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Board (FSMD) and National Board of Medical Examiners ( NBME) and these exams are considered as one of the toughest exams in the world. It is mandatory for aspirants to qualify in all three levels of exam which aims to test their clinical skills, knowledge related to the medical field along English fluency. 

 

The eligibility criteria for USMLE is when a student is officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US or Canadian medical school program leading to the MD degree that is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US medical school leading to the DO degree that is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association. A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of,a medical school that is outside the US and Canada, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools as meeting ECFMG eligibility requirements and that meets the other eligibility criteria of the ECFMG.

 

Application Process for USMLE

• Create an account of the ECFMG website

• Head to the ECFMG website and fill out the USMLE Step 1 application form

• Form 183

• Send form 183 to Philly

• Wait for your scheduling permit

• Book a date at Prometric

  Documents required at exam

• Medical school diploma and translated if not in English

• Two passport-sized photographs

• Other documents might be needed
