The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration process for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ). Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can now register online through the official MCC counselling portal to participate in the seat allotment process.
Candidates can complete the Round 1 registration and fee payment by August 12, 2026, while the choice filling process begins on August 6, 2026. The Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 17, 2026, and candidates allotted seats must report to their respective institutes for admission between August 18 and August 22, 2026.

Candidates Can Begin Choice Filling from August 6, 2026
After completing the registration process, candidates can begin choice filling from August 6, 2026, by selecting their preferred colleges and courses. The choice locking window will be available from 4:00 PM on August 12 to 11:00 AM on August 13, 2026. Candidates should carefully review and finalize their preferences before locking them, as no modifications will be allowed afterward. The MCC will conduct the seat allotment process based on the choices submitted and publish the Round 1 seat allotment result online.
