A medical degree is awarded to those who complete their degree in UG, PG or any special course. To obtain this degree, the candidate must complete the course and internship in the given period.

 

Undergraduate medical degrees

Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria and qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test to get an undergraduate medical degree. Every year there are over 83,920 MBBS,29,949 BDS, 525 BVSc and 50,720 BHMS/BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BNYS medical degrees are awarded in India. Only candidates who complete the eligibility criteria quality in the NEET exam complete the 5.5 years, of course, are awarded with the undergraduate degree.

• BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

Postgraduate medical degrees

 

In order to be eligible to for these national level entrance exams, the candidate must have an MBBS Degree or MBBS provisional pass certificate offered by the concerned University /college. They should have completed 12 months of internship. The candidate must possess a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by the National Medical Commission or State Medical Council.
