On 18th October 1992, a historic agreement was signed between the-then His Majesty’s Government of Nepal and the Manipal Education and Medical Group for setting up a medical college.

Thus the Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS), affiliated to Kathmandu University was set up at Pokhara in 1994 with an MBBS program. It was the first private institution to establish a medical college in Nepal. Further to this, the 750 bed Manipal Teaching Hospital (MTH), Pokhara commenced in 1998. The college and hospital have been set up with modern facilities for modern education and health delivery.

 Complete Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission for Indian Students 

• Completed 17 years of age, and Completed 10+2 years of education or Intermediate of Science or equivalent, with English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects
• Passed in all the subjects mentioned above, securing not less than 50% of marks in the subjects mentioned above put together and obtaining an aggregate of 50% overall
• Candidate should be qualified under NEET-UG
• Must have studied in an English medium school, or have at least studied English as a subject
• Valid Indian passport
• Valid NMC certificate 

Documentations Required to Process Admission:

All students proceeding to take admission for MBBS in Nepal must have the below list of documents at the time of admission:

• Birth certificate, 10+2 certificate and mark
• Conduct certificate signed by the Head of the Institute student last studied at
• Nationality ID (Aadhar Card/ Passport) 
• 8 Passport size Photographs
• NEET Scorecard
• Eligibility certificate and other certificates
• Migration certificates. Invitation letter
• Payment slips

 Fee Structure 2022:

The  Manipal College of Medical Sciences Fee Structure is Given below, along with  tuition fees additional details such as hostel costs, and meal costs is given below .

• USD 25,000/- during the first year
• USD 25,000/- for the second year
• USD 18,750/- during the third year
• USD 6,250/- during the fourth year
• The annual hostel fee is NPRs 84,000(DOUBLE) / 1,38,000 (SINGLE).
